Resources and Information
As an institution that reverences each person made in the image and likeness of God, Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology (SHSST) is committed to providing an environment in which all members of the seminary community are treated with courtesy, respect and dignity. We require directors, officers, employees, and students to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities. Consistent with this policy, conduct, whether intentional or unintentional, that results in the harassment, sexual or otherwise, of other members of the community will not be tolerated.
The purpose of Title IX is to assure that a student’s educational pursuits and an employee’s work environment are not adversely affected because of their sex. A Title IX violation occurs when a student has been denied equal access to educational offerings because of their sex or when an employee has been subject to sexual harassment or assault.
